Raymond joined Woolliscrofts Solicitors in 1982 has over 40 years of experience dealing with Conveyancing and Private Wealth. He has extensive knowledge in all areas of Residential Conveyancing, Probate, Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Tom is an Executive Director of Woolliscrofts Solicitors Limited and qualified as a Solicitor in 1981. Tom has 40 years of experience dealing with all aspects of Civil Litigation work including Personal Injury, Employment and Commercial Matters. Tom has dealt with a wide range of PI cases over the years from low value to serious injury claims and is waiting to help you with your case.

Chris is an Executive Director of Woolliscrofts Solicitors Limited and qualified as a Solicitor in 1978. Chris has over 40 years experience in all areas of Civil Litigation including Building Disputes, Landlord and Tenant, Contested Probate Claims, Building Disputes and Debt Recovery. Chris also regularly sits as one of Her Majesty’s Deputy District Judges.
Solicitor, Director, Head of Conveyancing and Private Wealth
Mark qualified as a solicitor in 2000 and joined Woolliscrofts in 2014 when he became a Director of the Firm. Mark has considerable experience in Probate, Wills and Powers of Attorney and Conveyancing, is the Head of our Property Department and is the Senior Responsible Officer in relation to the Company’s membership of the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme.
Solicitor and Company Secretary
Amanda joined Woolliscrofts in 1992 and qualified as a Solicitor in 1999. Amanda is a hugely experienced Personal Injury Litigator dealing with a wide range of cases both in relation to value and complexity.
William Murray Cantlay
Murray qualified as a Solicitor in 1980 and joined Woolliscrofts in 2013. For in excess of 25 years he was a Partner at different law firms before joining our Conveyancing/Property Department. Murray is skilled and experienced in a wide variety of Residential & Commercial Property matters, handling a substantial number of transactions in any year.
Caroline qualified as a Solicitor in 1987 and joined Woolliscrofts in 2014. Caroline heads up the Conveyancing Team at our Stone office and has vast experience in both Residential and Commercial Property work. Living in Stone herself, Caroline know the issues that are relevant to the area.
Louisa qualified as a Solicitor in 2000 and joined Woolliscrofts in 2013. Louisa has 20 years of experience dealing with all aspects of Employment and Family work including Divorce, Matrimonial Finances and Child Matters.
Specialist Family Law and Collaborative Lawyer
Shelley joined Woolliscrofts in 2019 as the Head of our Matrimonial Department having over 30 years of experience in Matrimonial and Family Law. Shelley has particular experience in high net worth cases and contested child arrangement proceedings and advises in all areas of Family Law including divorce, finances, children issues, pre and post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements and disputes, civil partnership disputes, non-molestation and occupation proceedings. Shelley has been a member of Resolution for many years and is also a Collaborative Lawyer and Chair of Staffordshire Collaborative Lawyers.
Chartered Legal Executive
Jo joined Woolliscrofts in 2010 as a Chartered Legal Executive within our Private Client Department. Jo is primarily based at our Tunstall office and has extensive experience in all aspects of Probate and Elderly Client work including Wills, Probate, Powers of Attorney and Court Protection. Jo is a fully accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly.
Laura joined Woolliscrofts in 2009 as a Legal Secretary in our Probate and Wills Department having worked for us on and off part time between University studies. Laura commenced her training contract with us in 2017 and went on to qualify as a Solicitor in 2019. Laura specialises in Wills, Powers of Attorney and Deputyship matters alongside Commercial Property such as leases and Commercial Sales and Purchases.
Rachel joined Woolliscrofts in 2001 and became an Associate of the Chartered Legal Institute of Legal Executives in 2016. Rachel is a Conveyancing Manager at our Alsager Branch and has nearly 20 years experience in Private Client. Specialising in Residential Conveyancing.
Senior Legal Secretary / Probate Assistant
Juliet has worked in the Legal Profession for 30 years. She has a Pitman Business Diploma, Pitman Typing Level 1 & 2, Pitman Audio Typing Level 1 and is an Affiliate Member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. During her career Juliet has worked in the Conveyancing and Litigation Department but, having previously worked for Woolliscrofts, has exclusively worked in our Private Client Department since returning to work for Woolliscrofts in 2015.
Lisa joined Woolliscrofts in 1997 and is a Paralegal in our Probate Department. Lisa has extensive experience in all aspects of Estate work including Probate and Letters of Administration under the supervision of Ray Basnett (Director).
Hayley has worked for Woolliscrofts since 2003 and has considerable experience of dealing with Conveyancing matters. In common with all other relevant members of staff within our Conveyancing Department, due to the fact that Woolliscrofts Solicitors are a Law Society Conveyancing Quality Scheme accredited legal practice, Hayley has undertaken the regular training requirements essential to maintaining awareness of current issues of relevance to Residential Conveyancing work.
Alison is a Personal Assistant and Senior Conveyancing Secretary. She has worked in the legal profession since 2001, joined Woolliscrofts in 2013 and, through her considerable practical experience, is very fully conversant with the conveyancing process. Like all our staff, due to the fact that Woolliscrofts Solicitors are a Law Society Conveyancing Quality Scheme accredited legal practice, Alison has undertaken the regular training requirements essential in conveyancing today.
Gill has in excess of 30 years experience working within the property / conveyancing departments of law firms as a secretary/assistant to a partner and/or other Fee Earner.
Since 2013 Gill has been with us working in the same capacity where the work she undertakes involves both residential and commercial property transactions.
Kylie is a Conveyancing Assistant, who started at Woolliscrofts on 2nd March 2015. Kylie had previously worked in Conveyancing and has 11 years experience.
Kylie started her studies to be a Licenced Conveyancer with CLC in August 2015 and continues to do so.
Arlene has worked in the Legal Profession since 1972 to date – and joined Woolliscrofts Solicitors Limited as a specialist Conveyancing Assistant in 2014. During her many years of experience Arlene has dealt with all aspects of Conveyancing matters dealing with both Unregistered land and Registered land. Arlene undertakes the regular ongoing mandatory Continuing Professional Development training which Woolliscrofts membership of the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Accreditation Scheme entails.
Administration & IT
Receptionist / Legal Secretary
Gemma is the Receptionist and Conveyancing assistant. She has an English Degree from Staffordshire University. She joined Woolliscrofts in 2016 after previously working for Stoke City. Gemma is involved in the initial Client Identification and file opening process in addition to providing general administrative support to other members of our Conveyancing Team
Linda is a Conveyancing Secretary, she worked in a hospital in Ireland for over 10 years as a Medical Secretary before moving to England in 2002.
Linda has worked at Woolliscrofts since 2005. During this time she has worked in various departments within the Practice – including Conveyancing, Personal Injury, Debt Collection and Litigation departments. Linda has, however, specialised as a Conveyancing Secretary since 2015.
Debora has worked for Woolliscrofts in our Conveyancing Department since 2014 and primarily deals with the initial Client Identification and file opening process.
